Based in Haverhill, 1 Accounts provides accountancy services throughout Suffolk and Essex, with many clients in Bury St. Edmunds and Cambridge. Director, Paul is a pioneer of cloud based accounting solutions in the UK and set up 1 Accounts as an online accountancy practice advocating cloud based solutions and helping businesses move their accounts online.
1 Accounts are the only Xero Gold partners in Haverhill and were the first accountants in both Suffolk and the UK to sign up a client to Sage One. 1 Accounts also hold the coveted award from Sage as Sage Online Provider of the year. Over the years, Paul has built an invaluable network of businesses that have all benefited from moving their accounts online.
In 2016, 1 Accounts was awarded “Best New Practice” at the British Accountancy Awards and was a finalist for “Independent Firm of the Year”. 1 Accounts is now a multi-award winning business with accolades from Sage, the British Accountancy Awards, AAT and the 2020 Innovation Group.

Director, Paul Donno, grew up in the local area and trained to be an accountant in Haverhill. Paul was also chairman of the Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and sat on the board of Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and currently chairs the Suffolk Chamber Bank of England group. Paul has recently been an advocate for the Haverhill Suffolk BID. You can often find Paul on the local Golf Course! 1 Accounts promote local recruitment and encourage our employees to walk or cycle to work where possible to help reduce traffic and carbon emissions.
Paul is a board member of the Association of Accounting Technicians and currently sits on the AAT management board having moved from the cloud digital advisory panel. Pauls expertise in cloud accounting solutions is helping to shape the future of the AAT.
Based in Haverhill, Suffolk, the office located at the top of the high street opposite the local pub ‘The Royal Exchange’ and based in the old White Hart building. The building is shared with Data Station Limited, The Haverhill Echo and offers parking facilities at the back of their office for staff and visitors.
1 Accounts like to support local charities such as the Joshua Tarrant Trust. They also like to support local sports teams such as the Haverhill Rugby Club. 1 Accounts are currently sponsoring St Nicholas Hospice’s Accumulator Challenge, which is based in Bury St Edmunds.
