In my previous blog I wrote about us sponsoring this years accumulator challenge. The challenge involves receiving a £50 note and trying to raise as much money from the £50 as possible. This is all in aid of St Nicholas Hospice. I wanted to list the reasons why we think your business should get involved!
An Apprentice Style Business Challange
Have you ever watched the apprentice and seen the market stool challenge? The contestants have a certain amount of money and have to make a profit on a market stool. I have often seen this and been shouting at the TV wishing the contestants would work together to make the biggest profit they can. These are fundamental business skills and this is what the accumulator challenge is all about. You are given £50 and your business has to make as much profit from the £50 as you possibly can. You could even do an apprentice style challenge with your employees putting their business skills to the test!
A Great Marketing Tool
Content is sometimes hard to find when it comes to marketing. For example there are only so many times I can say we are Making Tax Digital compliant 😉 . The accumulator challenge would give you loads of great content for your social media, website and newsletters. Not only will it give you content for your own marketing, the challenge is being publicised by the Hospice and by us at 1 Accounts! Now that is great advertisement!
Coming into work everyday can become quite monotonous, your team can get stuck in their own job roles and stop working as a team. This challenge could help to motivate your team, and get them to all work together to achieve something brilliant. It will get them out of the day to day and enjoy something new all whilst developing their business skills.
A Great Charity
St Nicholas hospice is a fantastic charity that helps provide help, advice and support to people in the final chapters of their life who are living with long-term and life-threatening illnesses. Their services are not just for patients but for family and friends to. They include everything from specialist medical care to bereavement support and practical help. Their aim is for everyone to have the very best experiences in the final chapters of their life.
Overall I can’t see why you wouldn’t want to sign up for the challenge!
